  • The office is normally open, with the exception of recognized holidays: 
    Monday through Friday
    8:00 am to 4:30 pm (closed for lunch 12:00pm to1:00 pm)

    There is a drop box outside the door that can be utilized in the event the office is closed when you stop by.

  • For Public Housing, tenants have the opportunity to choose which type of rent they want to pay. Each tenant has the choice to pay rent based on their income or a flat rent option. If you choose to pay based on your income, your rent will be calculated at 30% of your monthly adjusted income. If you choose the flat rent option, your rent will be based on the apartment size. For Section 8, your rent will generally be 30% of your adjusted gross income with some exceptions. Your caseworker will explain the rent calculation to you in further detail.

  • An application is normally processed and placed on the waiting list within 5 to 10 business days. Once your name nears the top of the list, you are screened, determined eligible, and offered a unit. It is extremely important to keep the Housing Authority informed of your current address and phone number.

  • Yes, the Housing Authority recognizes singles as a family unit. However, certain programs and properties have specific eligibility requirements.

  • Applicants must bring social security cards and birth certificates for all household members. In addition, a picture ID for each family member 18 and older is required. All family members 18 and older must sign the application.
